The heads of the new Detroit Blight Task Force are vowing to create an extensive, detailed database of every parcel in the city that will serve as the blueprint to erase all blight, an issue that has defined the city for decades. At Marygrove College on Wednesday, about 150 community leaders gathered to hear the heads of the new task force, which is co-chaired by a billionaire businessman, an east side nonprofit leader and a president emeritus of Marygrove.
